I researched the issue and discovered the Bosch jigsaw was missing a single clamp screw. Once I discovered the problem I ordered the exact clamp screw with e-replacementparts.com. When I received it a few days later, I promptly screwed the clamp screw into the slot where it belonged and the jigsaw blade then kept its position while sawing. I tested it a number of times and it worked each time and still working today. Now I have a fantastic like-new Bosch jigsaw, which by the way, I purchased at a garage sale for $15.
